About Magnolia Harbor Carefarm
Magnolia Harbor Carefarm is a 501(c)3 that is both a therapeutic program for the traumatically bereaved and an animal sanctuary for rescue animals. Magnolia Harbor cultivates an environment that facilitates the therapeutic process by the healing green space of nature and the human-animal connection.
Magnolia Harbor Carefarm is a non-profit organization that depends on donations and sponsorships to help maintain the carefarm, care for our animals, keep costs affordable for grievers, and provide scholarships to grievers who need financial support to participate. In order to serve grieving humans, Magnolia Harbor Carefarm has developed a scholarship fund: the Stewart Family Teddy Bear Scholarship Fund. This fund allows those in need of our therapeutic services to access care at a free or reduced cost.
All donations from Giving Tuesday will go towards supporting our mission to provide sanctuary to all beings and holistic therapy to those that have experienced traumatic grief and loss and/or trauma.
Below is a recap of the first 10-months of 2024 for Magnolia Harbor Carefarm
Examples of what donations support for grievers and rescue animals:
$2,000: Participation for one family in the Widow/ers and Kiddos Retreat. Each member in the family receives approximately 25 hours of therapeutic time during the retreat equating to 75 therapeutic hours per family unit (1 widow/er and 2 kiddos)
$1,000: Participation for one individual in a traumatic grief retreat. Approximately 25 hours of therapeutic programming per individual in each 4-day retreat.
$200: Magnolia Harbor provides meals, snacks, and bottled water for every participant during therapeutic retreats. $200 covers this cost for 1-entire family during the Widow/ers and Kiddos Retreat
$100: Magnolia Harbor provides meals, snacks, and bottled water for every participant during therapeutic retreats. $100 covers this cost for 1 participants during -entire family during the Widow/ers and Kiddos Retreat
$75: 1-month of feed for 1 horse
$50: 1-month of feed for 1 pig
$25: 1-month of feed for 1 goat
