Why cookies and champagne?

This show concept is about juxtaposition--a turning towards to honor and appreciate the complexity of two opposing concepts. The "and" that embraces and honors the journey through this life.

Cookies represent the varying textures of life and meaningful simplicity of moments. The comfort so often associated with certain treats can be found in a cookie--from the joy of celebrating big life moments such as a new baby, a new job, a wedding, or graduation of any sort to the comfort of soothing a broken heart longing to connect with a loved one--cookies are there.

AND...cookies are fragile and can break, fall apart, and crumble.

Champagne is bubbly, effervescent, sweet or savory in flavor. Champagne represents the finer things in life--the dreams, goals, and aspirations we hope to achieve--the best parts of ourselves that we want to share with the rest of the world.

AND...champagne is vulnerable with it's shape defined by the glass in which the liquid is contained.

The juxtaposition of cookies and champagne is not unlike the therapeutic work of Magnolia Harbor.

When the heart is shattered and crumbling from grief, it feels as though there is no space in this world that can contain the enormity or gravity of the overwhelming feelings.

And yet, such a place does exist.

Magnolia Harbor is such a place. A place where there is no feeling so big that it cannot be held with tenderness, compassion, understanding, acceptance, and love. Human beings connect with one another, they connect with the rescue animals, and they connect with the property. Even when the crumbled pieces are beyond recognition, there is a safe container that can hold and honor each and every crumbled piece of that person's story and pain.

Two concepts entirely different from one another, and yet, when appreciated together, bring a deeper appreciation for the wholeness of being uniquely, beautifully human.

Taking place on the Jewlery TV Rooftop Saturday, September, 28, 2024, the Couture En Blanc: Cookies & Champagne runway show captures the juxtaposition of two concepts that, at first take, do not belong together; yet, when appreciated together, we find that one exists right alongside the other.

Doors will open at 6 PM for a cocktail hour before the show. Enjoy sipping chama signature cocktail provided by Dripping Springs Vodka. Indulge yourself with a decadent cookies and cupcakes provided by Magpies. Mingle with guests and admire the contemporary art on display by Mark Carson English.

As the sun starts to set the magic comes to life as Elite Pour LaVie hits the runway with European and Middle Eastern Couture.
After the runway show stick around and meet the owner of Elite Pour LaVie, Rawan Asad. Talk with JTV a lean about the beautiful jewelry that added to the Couture fashion in the show and find out about purchasing the jewelry and the fashion in the show. As the night comes to an end, don't forget to grab your swag bag!!
